Kale Yeah!

Fresh vegetables are known to be saturated with nutrients the body needs to carry out metabolic functions. It is for this reason that your doctor has recommended you get your daily share of these foods since childhood. The amount of individual nutrient varies depending on each vegetable and most vegetables tend to be more packed with certain nutrients while containing smaller amounts of other nutrient. Kale, however, is an exception to that fact. It is one of the most nutritionally dense vegetable that exist in nature.

Kale, also known as a super food, is a green leafy vegetable that can be consumed raw or cooked. Unlike other vegetables of it class, kale is home for a variety of nutrients contained in high concentrations. They include, but not limited to

-         Fiber

-         Vitamins: A, C, and good old K, which may help protect against cancer

-         Calcium

-         Copper

-         Phosphorus

-         Manganese

-         Potassium

-         Iron

So, pick some kale up this weekend and enjoy!
