 If you have read the post on Fad Diets, you are probably aware of why they don’t work and their inefficacy gives the word “diet” a negative connotation.  For this reason, I will refer to the word instead as “Nutritional Regimen” (NR) as such a regimen should primarily emphasize adequate nutrition. How do you know you are following the correct NR? Well, look at its list of “ingredients” and ensure that the conditions below are met.

·       *A balanced supply of carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals

·       Variety: Provide a rainbow of colors and textures

·       Sustainability: A regimen you can follow for the rest of your life

·       Flexibility: Can be followed anywhere, at any time

·       Tailored to you dietary needs

·       Enjoyable
