Quality Foods for your Shopping List

Happy Saturday! I don’t know about you, but I often do my grocery shopping during weekends. In the spirit of winding down the week and preparing for the weekend, I wanted to share with you some of the inexpensive quality food items you add to your NR.

Avocadoes: Consumed alone or as ingredients in salads, sandwiches and as low-calorie dip or spread, avocadoes are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to promote healthy heart function.

Eggs:  Relatively inexpensive, eggs and the most complete foods that exist in nature. They have a balanced combination of protein, fat, and vitamins.

Milk: Like eggs, milk is a great source of protein and vitamins that ensure muscle and bone strength and overall well-being. It’s also a great after workout drink!

Oatmeal (old fashioned): Oatmeal is saturated with fiber, which has been shown to reduce bad cholesterol in the body.

Beans: These legumes are not only a high source of protein, but also vitamins and minerals such K and B vitamins and magnesium for heart health.
